Iron Man; Tony Stark, inspired by the recent film release
11 hours - 4B, 2H Done to practise lighting and reflective surfaces. Had to tone down the reflections from the source image as he looked quite plastic-y. His actual suit is metallic yet matte at the same time (not chrome or plastic) and i tried to achieve that in this drawing. Work Progress: [link] CommentsBeautiful rendering. He looks good and solid there.

-- Fry non può funzionare tra noi...tu sei un maschio e io una femmina: siamo troppo diversi!-- check out my gallery! [link] Chose wisely on the paper and resultant textures. The iron surfaces look tougher and more industrial, which I think meshes more with what a classic Iron Man should exude. Cast iron kudos to you on this awesome piece, bro!

Though, I think you should've maybe darkened the background, before drawing it, with charcoal or a very soft pencil and then smudge it out so it becomes relatively smooth, maybe with a gradient so it's darker at the bottom. As this would really show the contrast in the image, as the total white-ness of the background is quite distracting somehow and doesn't work with how dark the shadows are.
But I know how much work getting a background like that would be, just a thought on how the image would really "pop".
But nonetheless, absolutely fantastic.
